Rolo's ideal home

Rolo is a lovely young lad, around 2 years old, looking for a home where he can thrive and enjoy lots of exercise and fun. He has lived with a cat before so could join a home with an existing cat, who is used to being around bouncy dogs who love to play! He would need to live in an adult home, and although he doesn't want to share his home with a dog, he could have canine chums outside of the home for walks and playtime. He enjoys traveling in the car, so would be a fun addition on days out, and once he's settled, he will be content to be left for a couple of hours.
Please note that you won’t be applying for a specific dog, but you can tell us what type of dog you’re looking for. You can also add up to four favourites to your application to give us an idea of the dogs you like, so we can consider you for similar dogs. Once you’ve submitted your application, we can’t change or update your favourites. Adding a dog to your application is not a reservation but a guide for us to find you a match.

Could you be Rolo's perfect match?

Rolo came into us due to his family finding him too bouncy and energetic, and is looking for a home that can keep up with his energy and playfulness! He will need regular walks and would enjoy running off lead in either his own garden or a secure outdoor environment, and if tennis balls are involved, he will be in his element. He loves to chase balls, but can get a little obsessive with them, particularly if they roll under a sofa where he can't get them, so he needs adopters happy to retrieve his toys and who are up for lots of play! He also loves to steal personal belongings, especially socks and he has been known to become a little possessive around these items at times, so adopters who have some experience with guarding would be beneficial, although this behaviour can be managed well. He gets super excited when his lead and harness come out and just loves to ride in the car, looking out of the windows, so would really enjoy going to new and interesting places for walks and sniffs. Rolo knows some of his basic commands and would love to learn more, and being very fond of his food and tasty treats, he will be a fun boy to teach as he's a clever little chap and picks new things up quickly. When he's not busy doing doggy things, he's a really affectionate boy and will definitely want to climb up onto your sofa and lap for some snuggles. Could you offer Rolo the loving home he's looking for?

Poodle Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Poodle.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
