About This Dog for Adoption

Bess's ideal home

Bess is a looking for a new home with children 10 and over. She is housetrained and can be left for 1 -2 hours once she has had time to settle in. She could share her new home with a well matched dog pending successful meets at the centre but no cats or small Furies as she has habit of chasing these when out and about. Bess can be a little restless while traveling in the car and this should be built up over time. Bess does have some ongoing skin and ear issues which will require ongoing medication and future vet visits to keep her skin in good shape.

Could you be Bess's perfect match?

Bess is a sweet 5 year old cockapoo who found her way to us through no fault of her own. She is currently being cared for by one of our wonderful foster families but she now ready to find her forever home. Bess has shown her self to be a friendly girl who is happy to join her carers when, they visit the local café for breakfast and to the local local pub where she just happily sits quietly waiting for people to fuss her. They have found that she enjoys a stroll down at the beach but will try to chase the local seagulls if given the opportunity. Bess does prefer to toilet out on a walk and prefers to have grass to toilet on, new owners should be prepared to be able to offer this to her. Bess would make a great addition to a family who are looking for a dog to join them in exploring new places.

Poodle Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Poodle.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Poodle Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
