About This Dog for Adoption

April's ideal home

Meet Amazing April! This super cute 4-year-old poodle cross is on the lookout for a forever home where she can be the centre of attention — she’s happiest being the only pet in the house, where she doesn’t have to share her humans! April will need owners who have experience with dog reactivity. April can live with older secondary school-aged children, and as she’s a true people-lover, she’ll need a home where someone is around most of the time at first to help her feel safe, loved, and part of the family.

Could you be April's perfect match?

April is such a lovely girl with the softest curls and the sweetest little face. Once she feels comfortable, she’s incredibly cuddly, loving, and loyal — a true best friend in the making. April has a gentle soul and will thrive with patient adopters who let her grow in her own time. Her absolute favourite thing in the whole world? Tennis balls! This playful girl lights up with joy at the sight of one and would happily spend hours playing fetch in the garden. April is full of love, personality, and charm — she’s just waiting for the right family to fall head over heels for her.

Poodle Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Poodle.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Poodle Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
