About This Dog for Adoption

Bramble's ideal home

Bramble is looking for a calm and quiet home with minimal visitors, with adopters who will take him on sniffy adventures, who will play with him and give him all the time and care he deserves. He can be a little worried by new people and likes to approach on his terms so can live with children aged 14 and over who will give him time to warm up to them and will give him space to rest and relax when he needs. Bramble could live with an established dog of a similar size who will happily co-exist with him. This will be pending successful meetings at the centre, living with another dog is not a necessity though, he would be happy with calm and polite walking buddies, he cannot live with birds, cats or other small furries. Bramble has a little training under his belt, he does a lovely “sit” and is doing muzzle and harness training at the moment, he can lose interest in training quite easily, but can be enticed to train for a tasty treat. He has been housetrained in the past, but may need a refresher in his new home so access to a private, secure garden is needed. Bramble can get a little worried being left alone, he could be left for up to 1-2 hours, this would need to be built up slowly once he has had time to settle into his new home. Bramble will need to meet his adopters multiple times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Could you be Bramble's perfect match?

Sweet little guy Bramble is a 3 year old Chihuahua cross who is very affectionate once he gets to know you. He likes a gentle fuss from people he knows and trusts and will approach when he wants cuddles. He loves to play, he will chase toys around and bounce all over the place with them, he likes his fluffy toys and balls most of all. He isn’t really into lots of different treats, but if you have a hotdog sausage he will be your best friend. This cute little lad is looking for his new home.

Poodle Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Poodle.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Poodle Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
