Meet Bertie a handsome 3-year-old Cockerpoo looking for a home who have experience of dogs who exhibit guarding behaviours.
Bertie has bitten in a previous home with his guarding behaviours so would need to live in a quiet environment where there are few visitors and no visiting children. Bertie is crate trained so a safe space for Bertie to go would be needed. He’s looking for owners who understand and can work with his tendencies to create a safe and secure environment. You would need to be prepared to meet Bertie on multiple occasions to build a relationship.

He’s housetrained, meaning you wont have to worry about accidents inside and he’s also crate trained, allowing you to leave him for a few hours without any concerns. He also knows a few tricks including “sit” and with his love of tasty treats makes him an eager student when it comes to any future training.
One thing to be aware of id Bertie’s reactivity when he hears other dogs bark or he is approached face on. This behaviour can be managed and improved with ongoing training and socialization. He has the potential to become more comfortable around other dogs allowing him to have walking buddies.
Bertie also loves going on car journeys making him the perfect companion to join you on new adventures.
