About This Dog

Leo's ideal home

Leo is a sweet and affectionate Cocker Spaniel x Poodle who loves being around his favourite people. He enjoys walks, tasty treats, toys and plenty of cuddles, and would thrive in a home where he can be included in day-to-day life and given lots of attention.

Leo would prefer a calmer and more predictable home environment with secondary-school-aged children or older, where he can feel comfortable relaxing and enjoying his space.

Leo enjoys socialising with other dogs and has previously lived happily with another dog. He can occasionally feel unsure if larger dogs rush over to him, but generally prefers calm and friendly canine companions. He could potentially live with another calm dog pending successful introductions at the centre.

Leo travels well in the car and settles nicely in a crate for journeys. He can find being left alone difficult and would suit a home where leaving hours are kept to a minimum while he gradually builds confidence with time apart.

Leo is looking for understanding adopters who are happy to continue supporting his confidence and helping him settle into his new routine.

Could you be Leo's perfect match?

Leo is an adorable and playful 4-year-old Cocker Spaniel x Poodle who has so much love to give. He’s a friendly little character who enjoys exploring on walks, sniffing his surroundings and checking in regularly for fuss and reassurance from his people.

Leo is very affectionate and enjoys human company, often leaning in for strokes and cuddles with relaxed, he responds really well to gentle encouragement and tasty treats.

When meeting other dogs, Leo is generally friendly and relaxed. He enjoys calm interactions and has shown that he is happy to walk alongside and greet other dogs politely. He has previously lived with another dog and may enjoy having a calm canine companion in his future home.

Leo would love an active home where he can enjoy regular walks, companionship and plenty of cosy downtime with his humans. He may need some ongoing support with building confidence when left alone, but with patience and understanding he will make a loving and rewarding companion.
