About This Dog for Adoption
Milo's ideal home
Meet Milo, a delightful two-year-old Poodle and Spaniel cross, ready to find his forever home. Milo would thrive as the only pet in the household, but he can socialise with other dogs outside, given slow and patient introductions to build his confidence. Although he barks when spotting other dogs, this is simply due to uncertainty and a lack of socialisation. With calm and gradual interactions, he may warm up and even attempt a friendly greeting. Milo is less comfortable with loud or overly assertive dogs and might respond with barking or showing his teeth to maintain his space. Milo is best suited for families with children aged 11 and above, who understand that he prefers gentle affection over big cuddles, which can be overwhelming for him. He may also jump up excitedly when meeting new people. Milo appreciates having his own safe space for meals and prefers not to be disturbed while eating. He might grumble if approached during mealtime, so a quiet, low-traffic feeding area is ideal. Additionally, he can be protective of his favourite toys, often taking them to a secure spot to enjoy alone.
Could you be Milo's perfect match?
Previously, Milo was surrendered to our care because his owner could no longer look after him. He wasn't often walked due to his previous owner's health challenges, meaning he might need some time to adjust to regular walks. After his time in kennels, Milo might need a refresher on house training. While a garden would be beneficial, it isn't essential as long as he has regular access to outdoor spaces for exercise and toileting. Milo is looking for a loving home where he won't be left alone for long periods, ideally no more than a couple of hours once he's settled. With the right family, Milo is sure to flourish and bring joy to his new home.
