Fondant is a charming 1-year-old poodle cross looking for his forever home. This lovable pup has had a sheltered upbringing, living with multiple dogs but lacking socialisation with those outside his home. He needs careful introductions to other dogs to boost his confidence. Fondant can get a bit overexcited during play, sometimes chasing and nipping at tails. He has a strong affection for toys, especially teddy bears, and may guard them from other dogs. Ongoing socialisation will be crucial for him. He can join a home with children aged 14yrs and over who understand that Fondant can be shy and will need a hands off approach when he feels overwhelmed, once Fondant trusts you, you will be his friend for life.

Fondant is also adjusting to walks and the outside world, so a garden would be beneficial as he learns housetraining. Rescued from a hoarding situation, he requires a patient home ready to introduce him to the world at his own pace. He’ll need time to adjust in his new environment and with the right support, he can gradually adapt to being alone for up to an hour. Since he has never been without another dog, a home with someone present initially would be ideal. With love and patience, Fondant is sure to become a delightful addition to any family.
