Edward's ideal home

Say hello to Edward, a cheeky, sweet 1yr old Poodle cross on the lookout for his furever home. Due to Edward’s past he has led a very sheltered life where he has lived with multiple other dogs however he has not been socialised to dogs outside of the home, Edward will need careful introductions towards other dogs to help build his confidence. Has potential to live with other dogs, pending successful introductions at the centre. Edward has never lived with a cat before, however, we have not seen any prey drive whilst at the centre so has the potential to live with a cat pending successful introductions in the home. Once he feels comfortable he loves fuss and attention from known people, he has come along way but due to his back ground and his nervousness at times in new situations a quiet home with older primary school aged (8yrs) and older would be best.

Could you be Edward's perfect match?

Edward came into us from a welfare hoarding situation, he will need a patient home willing to introduce him to the big wide world at a pace that suits him. Edward will also need ongoing support for housetraining. Edward will need time to adjust in his new home, with patience and support he has the potential to be built up to 1-2 hours being left, he has not been in a home without another dog present, so a home with someone around initially to start with would be ideal. Edward has come along way from the shy little lad that came into us but can still be nervous at times – he is slowly getting used to the big wide world, due to his past even going for walks can be scary.
