Bernie's ideal home

Bernie is dreaming of a peaceful home where life is nice and predictable. He prefers the quieter things, so he will be happiest in a calm household with minimal visitors, where he can truly relax without lots of hustle and bustle.

He is looking to be the only pet in the home, soaking up all the love and attention for himself. A private garden is a must for Bernie, giving him a safe space to potter about, enjoy a sniff, or have a quick game before heading back indoors for a snooze.

Bernie can live with children aged 12 years and over who are calm, sensible, and dog-savvy. He can feel worried around children so it is really important that any children around him are well managed and respectful of his space.

Out and about, Bernie is happy to spot other dogs on walks, as long as they keep their distance. He much prefers to enjoy his walk at his own pace. Bernie has been left for a couple of hours in the past without any issues, but any leaving time will need to be gently built up once he has settled into his new home.
