About This Dog for Adoption
Pluto's ideal home
Pluto would thrive in a moderate to active household where he can enjoy plenty of walks, playtime, and social interaction. He’s a friendly boy who loves being around people, though he does find it hard to be left alone, so a home with minimal leaving hours will be ideal.
Pluto has been great around older secondary school-aged children and is suggested as suitable for homes with primary school-aged children and above.
Pluto will need to be rehomed with his best friend, Charlie. These two share a wonderful bond, and Pluto gains lots of confidence from having Charlie by his side.
Access to a garden—private or communal—would be perfect for Pluto to enjoy some outdoor time.
Could you be Pluto's perfect match?
Pluto is an affectionate one-year-old Poodle cross Maltese who is currently in our care through our Homestay scheme with his friend, Charlie, while we help them find their perfect forever home together.
Pluto is a happy, loving chap who adores cuddles, playtime, and walks. He’s playful, curious, and thrives on human interaction, making him a wonderful companion for an active and engaged household. He also enjoys the company of other dogs, though he can be a little cautious with larger dogs at first—but with gentle introductions, he warms up beautifully.
Pluto is fully housetrained, which is a bonus for his new family!
Because Pluto experiences separation anxiety, he will need a home with minimal or no leaving hours initially. He cannot cope with being left alone, so his new family should have a strong support network—whether that’s multiple people in the household or family and friends who can help during unavoidable absences. With time and patience, time can be gradually built up.
Pluto isn’t a fan of car travel, so will need a home that doesn't need to travel frequently and/or is happy to work on training with short, positive experiences, to help build reassurance over time.
