He could live with sensible older teenagers who respect his space, and he would benefit from a calm, confident dog friend following a successful meet, as he is used to canine company and prefers not to be left alone. His ideal household would have rare visitors, although this could potentially be built up over time as Cagney settles and becomes more confident. With low energy levels and some anxiety around handling, car travel and new experiences, he needs someone willing to move at his speed and gently show him that the world can be a safe and reassuring place.
