Mike's ideal home
Meet Mike our 11 month old energetic Labradoodle looking for his new home together. Mike is looking for a home with no cats or other small pets, but may be able to share his home with another dog, pending successful introductions at the centre. Mike could share his home with children with children of secondary school age. He can be worried about being left home alone, so will adopters who are around most of the time to help him build confidence in this area gradually. He is an affectionate boy who love being with people, although he can be shy initially around new people. Mike would like a home in an area where he can reach nice walking areas without needing to pass busy roads, as he can find this worrying. Mike is likely to need support with his toilet training while settling into his new home.

If you are looking for an energetic and affectionate dog and have someone at home most of the time, Mike could be just who you are looking for. He will benefit from continuing his basic training using positive reinforcement training methods, as he is still young and does have a sensitive side. He can be strong on lead when keen to explore, so will need his new adopters to be physically comfortable managing a larger dog on walks. A garden would be beneficial for him to explore but is not essential if he has easy access to quieter walking areas.
