DescriptionCharlie's ideal home
Charlie can live with children over the age of 16 and need a home without other pets. He has recently had cruciate surgery and his adopters will need to live within driving distance of hydrotherapy appointments in Warrington. Charlie is house trained but needs someone with him all the time initially.
Could you be Charlie's perfect match?
Charlie was brought into our care due to a new baby in the home and his family not having time to care for his cruciate injury. Thankfully he has found himself a foster home and is recovering well from surgery, and is ready to find his new forever family. Charlie is quite a worried boy who tends to attach himself to one person in the home. This isn't to say he doesn't bond with others, but he will quickly find a favourite! He really doesn't like to be left alone so he's going to need someone with him all the time initially, but once he's beginning to settle, his family can work on gradually introducing some alone time. Charlie seems to relax more quickly around women, but is happy with the male foster carer he has, it just means he might take a little longer to bond with any gents in his family. Charlie enjoys his walks and likes to take in all the sniffs he can. He will happily say hello to single dogs that he meets, but becomes a little nervous if there's more than one, although he still tries his best to say hello. Charlie is a loving boy who likes to be groomed and have attention with people he's comfortable with. He will need all his basic training apart from house training, and for his family not to let strangers approach him at present. He still has some recovery to go with his cruciate but is expected to make a full recovery.
