About This Dog for Adoption
Cookie's ideal home
Meet gorgeous girl, Cookie! Cookie is a 4-year old Labradoodle looking for her forever home! Cookie could live with her friend, Scout, but would otherwise like to be the only dog in the home so she can soak up all the attention herself.
Cookie would like all children in the home to be at least 14yrs+ as she can be a bit avoidant of handling at first, and may need time to come round at her own pace. She is a very active girl, and loves to go on long walks and hikes. Her favourite game to play is ball, and she will chase a ball for as long as you would like to throw it for her!
Cookie has great recall and is very treat motivated, so this will help with any sort of ongoing training she may need. She is fully housetrained and travels really well in the car, so getting out for adventures will be very easy with Cookie!
Once she has bonded with her people, she loves a fuss and is very affectionate and sweet. Cookie does show some appeasement behaviours with new people and during formal handling, so she will need understanding and patient owners that are able to read her body language and listen to her when she needs space.
Cookie is good with other dogs, but mainly avoids and is quite uninterested. In the home, Cookie prefers to not share her food with Scour, so mealtimes would need to be managed.
We cannot wait for this gorgeous, gentle girl in her forever home lapping up all the love!
Could you be Cookie's perfect match?
Cookie is a really sweet, quiet girl who would really benefit from a calm, quieter home at first while she finds her paws. She will really love an active home that are willing to keep her brain and body busy, with lots of sniffy adventures and long walks!
Cookie isn't keen on being left on her own for long periods of time, so any alone time would need to be built up slowly.
She will need a family that are willing to manage visitors in the home for the first few weeks as she can be a little bit timid with new people, but we cannot wait to see her flourishing in her forever home!
