About This Dog

Ilya's ideal home

Ilya is a two-year-old Poodle Cross who is ready to find his paw-fect forever home. He’s had a difficult start to life, but he’s now eager to discover what life in a home is all about. The big wide world can feel a little scary for Ilya, so he’s looking for patient, understanding adopters who can gently guide him and help build his confidence.

Ilya is a sweet, sensitive boy who takes comfort from his doggy pals and therefore he must live with confident resident dog to help him blossom. As he settles into home life, he’ll need support with things like housetraining, learning to relax, and gradually getting used to being left alone.

Ilya will require a safe, secure garden with direct access to the house, where he can explore and play at his own pace. He’ll also need kind, consistent support to learn new skills such as on a lead. Ilya could live with children aged 12 and over who are able to understand when he may be feeling overwhelmed and give him the space he needs.

Could you be Ilya's perfect match?

Ilya is a sweet boy who has so much love to give. Whilst he's a worried boy at first, he doesn't take him too long to wiggle his way up to you for some gentle fuss. It's important his new family can visit him a few times before he's ready to head off home.
