About This Dog

Maple's ideal home

Maple is a sweet, 1-year-old girl who can be shy when first meeting new people, though she relaxes and shows more confidence once she’s out and about on a walk. She is also initially unsure around other dogs but gains confidence with time and gentle introductions. Maple could happily live with her kennel mate Beryl, or with an older, calm, and independent dog who can help guide her and show her that the world isn’t such a scary place. She can live with other dogs and calm children aged 8+ who understand not to overwhelm her. Maple has a medium energy level and can be left for a few hours once she’s fully settled.

Could you be Maple's perfect match?

Maple is looking for patient, committed adopters who can give her the time, reassurance, and training she needs to blossom into a wonderful family pet. She will need full rehabilitation due to her very sheltered upbringing—she isn’t currently housetrained and has never walked on a lead, so training in these areas will be essential. Everyday household sights and sounds, such as vacuum cleaners, washing machines, kettles, and general family life, are all completely new to her, meaning time, consistency, and kindness will be key to helping Maple grow in confidence. With time, Maple will make a great and rewarding addition to her new family.
