About This Dog for Adoption
Bear's ideal home
Bear is a wonderful, lively companion who would truly flourish in a home where he can be part of everyday life. He loves being included in family activities, whether that means enjoying playtime, going on regular walks, or simply relaxing with his loved ones. His curious and energetic nature makes him a joy to engage with, and he also appreciates those calm, cosy moments together.
Bear has happily lived with secondary school-aged children before and could do so again. He would feel most comfortable in a home with peaceful walking areas that help him stay relaxed and confident.
He would also like a secure garden, whether private or communal, which would give him a safe space to play and exercise.
He would thrive with a family that is excited to be involved in his ongoing training and enrichment.
Bear may also enjoy sharing his home with another dog, as long as mealtimes are managed separately.
Could you be Bear's perfect match?
Bear is a delightful two-year-old Cockerpoo who is currently enjoying life in our Homestay scheme while we help him find his perfect forever home. He is under our care due to a change in his owner’s circumstances, and now he’s ready to bring joy and companionship to a new family.
Bear is inquisitive, full of energy, and wonderfully affectionate. He loves forming close bonds with his caregivers and thrives on being part of daily life. Whether it’s playtime, walks, or simply relaxing together, Bear takes his cues from those around him—active when you’re active and calm when you’re calm. He adores stuffed toys and is happiest when he has company, so he would do best in a home where he isn’t left alone for long periods, with the opportunity to gradually build up his independence.
Bear is fully housetrained and travels well in the car. He hops into the back seat unaided and wears a harness restraint for safety. While he prefers short journeys and feels most settled when someone sits with him, he generally copes well, although he does stay alert throughout the journey.
