About This Dog for Adoption

Pepsi's ideal home

Pepsi is a sweet and affectionate 4-year-old Lhasa Apso x Miniature Poodle who adores human company and loves to be close to her people. She’s looking for a quiet, loving home with a secure private garden (minimum 4ft fencing) where she can potter around, enjoy gentle walks, and relax beside her favourite humans. She loves nothing more than spending sunny afternoons lounging on the grass while her humans do the gardening! Pepsi loves having company and would thrive in a home where her humans are around for much of the day, although she can be left alone for short periods, and this could be built upon as she became more comfortable in her new home. She enjoys being involved in daily life and is happiest when sharing her time with the people she loves. She would be a great match for first-time owners or experienced adopters alike - especially those looking for a calm, snuggly companion with a gentle nature. Pepsi could potentially live with a calm, friendly dog after careful introductions, and would be able to live with dog savvy children aged 10 and over who can respect her space. Pepsi would prefer a home without any cats, but she has previously been on lead around other animals including chickens and guinea fowl without any issues. She enjoys quiet environments and would love to be part of a home that appreciates her mellow charm and soft, friendly personality.

Could you be Pepsi's perfect match?

Pepsi is a gentle and affectionate little dog who quickly forms strong bonds with those around her. She’s happiest when relaxing beside you whether you’re working from home, reading in the garden, or simply pottering about. She loves being around her foster carers but is gradually becoming more confident exploring and being on her own for longer periods. On walks, Pepsi is a polite and easy-going companion. She walks nicely on the lead and is calm when passing people, children, and other dogs who she is more than happy to say hello to and socialise with. She’s unfazed by noise and traffic and shows no reactivity, even when approached by excitable or noisy dogs. Pepsi travels well in the car although does need a helping hand into the back seat or boot due to her short legs! Pepsi is fully housetrained and responds well to gentle guidance and structure. She’s still building her confidence with stairs and prefers to be carried if needed. At night, she now settles happily in her own bed in the same room as her foster carers, sleeping peacefully through the night. She does have a cheeky side and will sometimes try her luck hopping onto the bed for a snuggle, but she listens well when gently redirected back to her own cosy spot. Pepsi enjoys a relaxed lifestyle with a few play sessions, tasty treats, and a good chew toy or ball. Even though she absolutely adores people, like many dogs, she can find vet visits a bit daunting. With gentle reassurance and a calm approach, she can build confidence over time—patience and understanding from her new family will go a long way in helping her feel more at ease during check-ups. Pepsi is looking for a home that values her affectionate nature and will give her the patience, companionship, and gentle reassurance she needs to thrive. With a little time and love, Pepsi will reward her new family with loyalty, calm companionship, and plenty of cosy snuggles.

Poodle Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Poodle.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Poodle Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
