Meet Heinz, the playful pooch who needs a bit of a helping hand to build his confidence. He is friendly but can be worried at first, so won’t want to live with very young children. Older primary school aged kids, of maybe around 8 and up, would be fine, as long as they can be sensible with him. Heinz came into our care with another dog and really enjoys meeting other doggy friends. He could potentially live with another dog, pending successful mixes at the centre. He also has potential to live with cats, but with no history of this he will need his family to take a slow approach to introductions. Heinz does have hip dysplasia and while he’s not on any medication at the moment, this is something to bear in mind for future. He does attend hydrotherapy sessions which will need to be continued.

Heinz is a wonderful 9 month old Spaniel/Poodle Cross who came into our care through no fault of his own. He’s only a puppy so would like time left alone to be built up gradually. Despite his youth he is already good in the car and really tries to remain housetrained in kennels. Heinz absolutely loves playtime. Unfortunately due to his hip dysplasia he won’t be able to indulge in fetch, ball play etc. Heinz would love his family to provide alternative outlets for him, such as scent games. He will be a fabulous companion, he just needs to find the right home that can help him manage his medical needs.
