Description

Rory's ideal home

Rory is our sensitive 1 year old Cockerpoo who is full of love once he comes out of his shell. He is a very nervous boy so would love an experienced home that is quiet and predictable. Rory is a nervous boy in new situations and has taken a few weeks to settle in his foster home. However he is starting to show a more playful side where he’ll throw his kong around and has started to sit with the fosterers on the bean bag having a fuss! Rory would love a quiet and predictable home where he can really flourish into the amazing boy that he is.

Could you be Rory's perfect match?

Rory will need a home with his own secure garden and adopters who are comfortable not to walk him in the first few weeks to allow him time to settle. He will need to be the only dog in the home but can potentially live with cats. Any children in the home will need to be over 16 years. He will need adopters who are at home for the majority of the day that can build his leaving hours gradually. He is anxious when travelling in the car so will need a home where car travel isn’t essential. Rory is currently in one of our foster home and so isn’t at the centre.

Poodle Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Poodle.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
